Realization

Whew! What a day! Just had an exam in Zoo102 (Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy) Lab. Well, the exam may seem short or not that numerous coz it’s a 1-20 numbers exam. However, each number has 5 letters or 5 questions to answer. Woah! Take note that the exam is about the MUSCLES OF A CAT! Argh! And take note (again) that for each number, only 2 minutes and 15 seconds are given to answer the 5 questions. Waah!

After taking and thinking about the exam, while on the LRT train on my way home, I came to a realization: Will I be able to enter UPMed? Or if ever I will, will I be able to pass it? Haah!

Let me take this chance to say sorry to my friends. I know that all of us are depressed after taking the exam. But I can’t seem to control my mouth, to control what I say. I know thinking about the exam after the dreadful exam can really make us depress and I am sorry for opening topics about the exam or asking questions about the questions in the exam. I’m sorry. I, however, am disappointed to hear some of you say “Wooh! Nanghula pero pagnakita na ung results, tama ung mga sagot (o mataas ung score)!” Guys, when I say hula, I really meant hula. I’m disappointed coz hearing them say those words makes me feel that when we are going back to the exam, it seems that I am being proud of myself, when actually, I am not. Pero guys, sorry talaga.

Anyway, let’s move on. Now where was I? Yeah! I remember. About the UPMed thing, I really had a hard time answering the questions in the exam. I really ‘extracted’ my brain just to have something to write. After the exam, I felt relieved that it is all over however, I feel sad coz I dunno if I will pass the exam. With this in my mind, I realized, will I really be able to enter UPMed if now, I am having troubles with studying? If I’ll be able to enter UPMed, will I be able to pass it with the background of what’s happening to me now? The exam is kust the cat, and I already found it hard. What will happen to me at Med (if ever) when it comes to human anatomy? Waah!

Haay! I’ll end this entry now. I still have other things to do. Sleep. I really feel sleepy now. But before I end this, let me share an incident that happened to Dette and me in the MRT train on the way home.

I think we are already at Ayala of Buendia station when this man entered the train; he positioned at the front-left area of where Dette and me are seated. There was a girl at my front, BTW. While the train is moving, and while my eyes are also moving to see where we are and what the people around us looked like, I noticed that the ‘man’ has a bulge in his ‘front.’ I just ignored that thinking that it must be some optical illusion. However, when at Guadalupe Station, I started to look around again and saw that the bulge is not just a bulge put a ‘pointy’ bulge. Woah! I really wanted to tell Dette that time what I ‘saw’ but I realized, she is a girl and I can’t just tell a girl about that kind of thing. Then I saw her look around and then smirked. I asked her, “Bat ka tumatawa?” She didn’t answer. Then it came to me, she also ‘saw’ that. I told her to hush for a while so that the man will not suspect what we saw. We are not pervert people who looks at that kind of thing. It is what we noticed that made us react. While the train is moving, the man, who is not being pushed or forcedly moved by some people, keeps on bumping his ‘bulge’ on the girl I mentioned earlier that was in front of me. Woah! Gross! When we are at the platform of Shaw station, our stop, I told Dette, “Naiiyak ako.” I was about to cry because of grossness and because of laughing. I was not laughing because of what I saw. I was laughing because that is my way to relieve the tension. Dette was actually also laughing, and just like me, maybe to relieve the tension. Nandiri ako. Ang l*bog ng mama. Sexual harassment. I didn’t immediately leave the station platform coz the man’s stop is also there, and his exit is on the same exit as mine. I can’t stand to see his face, a face of maliciousness and perversity. This was the first time that this incident happened to me and Dette. I hope that I’ll never see another incident like this again. Ever!

[I dunno a title for this one!]
* * *
This morning, we went to my uncle's house. I thought that we'll go there just to deliver something. But no! We went there, delivered the package, stayed for lunch, and watched some movies until 5 pm. And we still have to go to the market to buy some food! Haay! Good thing that I've already started my part for the Chem Lab written report (if not, I'll have to stay up late now!). I should've done my part last week, but I didn't find the time; I was busy sleeping.

Enough about my whinning! I told myself that this entry will be short so I'll get to the point on why I am posting now. This is actually about the movie that we watched at my uncle's house. I really liked the movie (I liked the lead girl too - she's pretty). The title's My Sassy Girl. Heard about it? The movie is a story on how a guy (who is a bit goofy) met a girl (who is a bit bossy, and is sassy), how they built their relationship, how it ended, and how they met again. The twist in the story is really good. I actually thought that the two lovers will never be together again (because in the movie, they promised that they'll open the time capsule, where they put their letters to each other before breaking, up after two years, and the girl never showed up; in that two years time, they will not see each other. Aww!). But fate ("building a bridge of chance between two people") brought them together again - the girl had a boyfriend who died, met a guy a year after his boyfriend died, tried to look for his boyfriend in that guy, left the guy, but it just so happened that the mother of his ex was the aunt of the guy who actually wanted to set-up the girl with the guy in the first place. Long story actually, but if you want to hear more... Naah! Watch it!

* * *

Haay! This entry is actually BOGUS! I actually intended to tell the whole story but I find it hard to write it all. I also have to make the entry short and fast because I still have to study.

Nothing to do? Post!
Haay! I really got nothing to do/post except for the lyrics of this song that is very beautiful - the lyrics itself, the melody, and the message of the song. Just read through the lyrics and you might find inspration from it.

BTW, the song had been sung in the chinovela(?) Lovers in Paris. The chinovela is beautiful (as I've heard from friends, and as I think), though I haven't actually watched a whole episode of it.

Here's the lyrics:

Wag na Wag Mong Sasabihin
Kitchie Nadal

May gusto ka bang sabihin?
at hindi mapakali,
ni hindi makatingin

Sana'y wag mo na 'tong palipasin
at subukang lutasin,
sa mga sinabi mo na...

[REFRAIN:]
Ibang nararapat sa akin,
na tunay kong mamahalin

[CHORUS:]
oh oh oh oh
Wag na wag mong sasabihin
na hindi mo nadama itong
Pag-ibig kong handang
ibigay kahit pa kalayaan mo

Hindi ko man inaakala,
na ako'y isang bituin
na walang sasambahin

hindi ko man ito ipakita,
abot langit ang daing,
sa mga sinabi mo na...

[REFRAIN:]
Ibang nararapat sa akin,
na tunay kong mamahalin

[CHORUS:]
oh oh oh oh
Wag na wag mong sasabihin
sa hindi mo nadama itong
Pag-ibig kong hanang
ibigay kahit pa kalayaan mo

[BRIDGE:]
At sa gabi,
sinong duduyan sayo?
At sa umaga,
ang hangin na hahaplos sa'yo

[CHORUS:]
oh oh oh oh
Wag na wag mong sasabihin
na hindi mo nadama itong
Pag-ibig kong handang
ibigay kahit pa kalayaan mo

The "Busiest" Day --- Thursdays
This day has been something. Not only did our class ended a bit early in both of our subjects today (we have two subjects for Thursday), but I learned to dance.

However, after our class, we really have to go to a film show at the Conference Room in the Old NEDA building. I really didn't want to go there because I think that I'll just get bored with the film that is about to be shown. But because we are required to, my and Dette went anyway.

Before we watch the film, we first ate our lunch. I ate a lot. My friends really were surprised (again) to see me buy all those food and eat it in one go. We were supposed to go to the venue of the film showing when we started to watch TV in Rox's house (condo unit). We had a good time watching the noon-time show MTB, Ang Saya-Saya. After which, my friends practiced their dance steps because they have a practical dance exam today. Dette and I are about to leave Rox's place when I became interested with their dance steps. Dette taught me the steps while Rox and Kris practiced. I learned to DANCE! Yehey! Although I still need more practice, I had fun.

After that, we FINALLY went to watch the film showing. We only stayed there for a while because we 'HAVE' to watch my Rox's, Kris', Shine's, and Maek's dance performance. They were good. I mean great!

* * *

I actually didn't intend to write an entry for my blog today. I just suddenly felt an urge to write. So, here I am. Ciao!

To Measure a [Real] Man
Just this afternoon, while on my way home, I heard three guys talking. I can’t remember what they said, because I was too busy looking at the road to see whether I have to say ‘para’ already. I somehow got the point of their conversation. There was this guy at school who I think have to do something. I don’t remember what that something is, but I think it was something physical such as carrying something, or returning the ball in volleyball. Whatever it is, one of the guy said “Mas malakas pa ung pagbalik nung mga babae.” Then I heard the other guy reply, “Bading ata e.

Bading, gay, badingger-z, jokla, bakla. Names referring to the third sex. A gender that some people accept open-mindedly. However, there are still some that treat them as outcasts, something to be disgusted of. Should they really be?

No!

I am no gay. I am not writing this entry because I despise those who think that gay people should be banned. I am writing this because I am disappointed to see and hear people humiliate gay people. Again, I am no gay.

I am no holy person. I admit, I laugh at those cross-dressers, I laugh at transvestites. I laugh because I think the clothes and make-up that they use don’t suit those people. When I laugh at them, I still consider who they are – they are people, people like all of us, people who have feelings. Now that I think about it, I wanna say sorry to all those people whom I and my friends laughed at, to those cross-dressers.

I am no gay.

But why do people sometimes ask, “Bading ba siya?”

When people ask this to me, I say no. When people ask this from a first degree friend (Uy! Friendster!), I tell my friend/s to tell that person who asked that “No! I am no gay.”

How do people measure the manliness of a person? That is what I think about when people ask the question on whether I or some other people gay.

Some people think that a real man is one who is no longer a virgin at the age of 16 or something. A real man is someone who doesn’t cry. A real man is someone who doesn’t have all girls as company. A real man is someone who fights back by physical means when taunted or humiliated or hurt. A real man is someone who loves basketball, and some other “manly” stuff, such as having Playboy and FHM magazines.

For me, those are all bullshit! Those immature, closed-minded, selfish, insensitive people who think this way must all die.

I am no gay. I don’t say those words because I am a gay. I don’t say those words because I want to protect those who are member of the federacion. I only want people to be open-minded, to also think about other people, to be mature enough to handle things like this. I only want people to uphold equality in all walks of life.

Actually, a real man can be measured, for me by the way he handles things and problems gentlemanly. A real man cries. A real man is someone who respects a woman. A real man is someone who is amiable will all sort of people. A real man is someone who thinks first before acting. A real man doesn’t have to love basketball or other “manly” stuff, they can love anything.

There is this one incident that I recalled just now that happened to me when I was, I think, in Grade V. A girl, a seatmate, asked me, “Pag sinabi ko sayo na halikan mo ko, hahalikan mo ba ako?” I nodded. No. She then said, “Bakla ka ata e. Si _______ hahalikan ako pag sinabi ko. Dapat ang sagot mo, ‘Oo, hahalikan kita.’” Should I have kissed her to prove that I am a boy? (I felt bad.)

NO! Now I feel good, because now that I am mature enough to think of what is what and which is which, I know now that my reply back then when I was a boy is right. A real man is someone who respects a woman, someone who doesn’t use a woman to satisfy his physical and sexual needs.

Another incident occurred to me when I was in 1st and 2nd year HS. I actually do not know what happened. All I know is that I most of the time cry because of disappointments and problems. I do cry. But, I somehow heard (paranoid!) some people saying that “Bading ata yan e. Umiiyak.” Does being a man deprive him of crying? Again, NO! Real men do cry. Crying does not divide men from women. Crying does not prove any fact that that man who is crying is gay. Crying is ones way of expressing what he feels inside. Crying is not a way to measure a man.

There is this other incident that I want to share. This involves my family and relatives. Once a year, we get together for a family reunion. Once there, I usually sit somewhere and not talk to anyone, unless they talk to me. My relatives and cousins arrive soon and sit somewhere near me. They talk to and I talk to them. But then, there are these relatives who said that I should go with the guys in the family and drink some beer, not be with girls and talk. I will not deny that my parents also think and say these things. Actually, they (my parents) ask me who my friends and barkada are in school. May lalake ka bang kasama? Baka puros babae kasama mo? I told them: when I was in high school, may lalake (and they will reply, baka bakla yan. I replied no.), when in college, wala pong lalake, puro babae. They will then ask, baka naman bakla ka. NO! Hindi! Pag ba babae kasama mo, ibig sabihin nab a nun e bakla ka. They can’t find any words to say because I am right. Being with girls as company doesn’t imply that you are a gay. Being with girls doesn’t dictate your gender. Being with girls doesn’t state who you are. From then on, they don’t ask me about this anymore. They know that I am no gay.

Now that what I want to say about how NOT to measure a man is clear, let us think about how men are to be measured.

Self-explanatory words: gentleman (in some sense), handles problems and issues calmly and coolly. Only two characteristics, yet, not all man, as they call themselves, acquire these.

I am no gay. For those people who think I am, DIE! For those who don’t, you are all my real and true friends. And I thank God for all of you.

A Boring Day!
A boring day! That is what I can call this day. I actually have not done anything fun and exciting.

I woke up early just to start washing some things that needed washing. I actually do not want to wake up at 7am, but because of the so-many things that I need to do, such as clean the whole house, and also clean the refrigerator (clean as in take out and throw stuff that is not needed, not clean as in eat what is inside the ref :D). I finished doing my laundry and cleaning the house and ref at about 10am. Just in time to watch some shows in the TV. However, I felt that my stomach is growling. Hindi pa pala ako nagbbreakfast. So I cooked some food and ate 'til the feeling of satisfaction is achieved. After eating, I took my bath and watched some shows.

I was watching some shows on Disney Channel after eating. After a while, I felt sleepy, so I slept. When I woke up, it was already 12noon. Hindi talaga ako sanay nang maagang gumising pag weekends. I thought of eating lunch at that, but I felt that my stomach is still full. So... I just whipped up some food so that when I feel hungry, there is already some food prepared. While waiting for my stomach to grumble, I watched TV. Yey! I watched Stitch the movie, the continuation of Lilo and Stitch. In this movie, Stitch learned that there are some other experiments like him, or for him, "cuzins." Upon learning this, Jumba, the evil genius, as he calls himself, was alien-napped by a hamster of some sort. I do not want to tell the whole story, but one thing can be sure, there is a happy ending. Jumba was rescued, Stitch's cuzins were also rescued, and the hamster was imprisoned.

While watching the movie, I ate my lunch. I think it was about 1:30pm when I ate. After eating, and after the movie ended, I slept for an hour. Haay! Puros tulog na lang. When I woke up, I went out of the house. Finally, lumabas na din ako ng bahay. I went out of the house to buy some snacks. Hehe. I bought some junkfoods and a bottle of Pepsi Blue at 7-11, and also a stick of Bananaque at a nearby store. Ang sarap nung bananaque. After eating, I watched TV again. I watched a part of a showbiz talkshow. I got bored then started to switch channels. After a while, I stopped at Nickelodeon. I love the shows there. Though may seem childish to some people, I think the shows there give morals to people who watch the shows. However, I got bored again. So I opened my computer, performed some checks on the system of my computer. While waiting for the Defragmenter to finish, I went out again, but this time, to buy some isaw (chicken intestines), dugo (chicken blood), and barbeque. I went home, ate the "dirty" food, and watched TV.

My computer finally finished its Defragmenting. I then surfed the net and wrote this. :D

* * *

Gising. Gawa. Kain. Tulog. Gising. Kain. Nood TV. Tulog. Gising. Kain. Nood TV. Kain. Nood TV. Computer. Haay! Walang magawa sa buhay. I really want adventures. I almost had a chance to scuba dive. Hindi natuloy. I planned to rock climb. Hindi natuloy. When will they come true?

My First Time! My Second Week!
HeY! This is my first time here! :) Just want to share my week with you! Walang magawa e! :D

* * *

Ang saya! Walang masyadong ginawa ngayong linggo (2nd week of January 2005)! The school days started (which obviously tells you that this part of the blog is the life I had last Monday) with a long discussion in Chem 31, and a reporting in Chem 31.1. The lecture was good, I did understand some of the facts that the prof had discussed. And with the reporting, it all went out well, and "We [I and my lab partner] survived!"

Our professor in the laboratory, though may seem toxic, is really a nice person. Kahit marami siyang tanong about dun sa report namin (about Liquid-Liquid extraction), he still cares for us. After asking us so many questions, he told us after class na "kumain ng marami" (cozl our brain cells consumed a lot of energy derived from ATP's in the food that we eat). Mabait talaga cya, even though he challenges his students to do the best they can.

After the 3-hour laboratory period, which is all consumed by our reporting, we then ate. I ate a lot! Hehe.. :) After that, we stayed in the canteen for a while (with my 2 of my friends). One of the two, Rox, will go home to take some rest (after eating), and the other one, Kris, will go to Diliman to visit her friends. When we are about to go our "separate ways," my friends decided not to attend to their "businesses." Inaya ko sila ngayon sa class ko, which is a PE class. Bowling! Sumama naman sila para maglaro din.

At the venue of our PE class, wala pa akong kaklase na naglalaro! Pano ba naman, ang class ko ay 3 pm pa, pero andun na ko ng 2 pm. I decided to play na rin, kesa naman ubusin ko ung 1 hour ko para maghintay sa mga kaklase ko para maglaro. My game was good! Im proud coz i got 80++ in my 1st game ko, and then in the 2nd, 120+. [Yabang ko din noh! :)]. After that, sinamahan ko si Kris sa Megamall para ipagawa ang kanyang mahal na relo na napigtas ang isa sa mga braces dahil sa naisuot nya ito habang natutulog.

Tue: Discussions in Zoology 102. A long discussion, but is informative and fun. I learned lots of things, like the centrum of the vertebrae, its arches, and spines na hindi ko alam kung magagamit ko sa course ko (pero sa Med magagamit ko naman). After that, wala kaming Humanities 2, which is scheduled at 10am. Dahil walang Hum, we went to the College of Public Health -- CPH (BTW, my course is Public Health -- PH) to enlist in our Major subjects . Mabilis ko naman naayos ung ESF ko kaya ayun. :D
Since my next class is at 2:30 pm, and it was just about 11 am, pumunta muna kami sa Rob. We ate at Chef d' Angelo. Then, around 12:45pm, some of my friends went back to AS because of their 1pm class. Meanwhile, me, Kris, and Dette, because we have nothing to do, nag GBox muna kami. I missed that place. Once there, we played Dance Maniax (to relieve the stress of the previous hectic week). After that, wala na kaming magawa, kaya... Nagvideoke kami. May PI kasi. Nagreport lang naman ung reporters sa PI. Pagkatapos nun, uwian na!

Wed: The smell of the morning breeze was soon polluted with the stench of the skinned cats. It time.. Its time to face the skinned cat in order to know the location and functions of its muscles. Tiring yet a bit fun! I almost threw up coz of the smell of formalin and also of the maggots that crawls in the cat. And take note of this: 7am-1pm straight ung class na un (Zoology 102 Lab). 6 hours naming inamoy (or naamoy) ung pusa. Eww! I felt so relieved after the class even though we have to run to SSWC for another PE class, Table Tennis. The class is fun, kahit nakakapagod. Kahit sumasakit na sikmura ko dahil hindi pa ko naglulunch, ayos pa rin. Enjoy naman ung class e. After the class, I slept in the library in CPH because I still have to wait for Dette and because of our 5:30pm-8:30pm class.

Thurs: Nothing much happened. Discussions in Chemlec, Experiment in Lab. Although nothing much happened this day, I am still relieved to know that I passed my Comm II course (which I took during my 1st year, 2nd sem -- and I am already a Sophie)! Yehey! May grade na ako! I'm so happy! :D

Fri: I woke up early. I hurriedly took my bath, packed my school things, and dressed for school. "I still have to travel about an hour just to go to school," I thought. I was in a hurry because of a quiz in Zoolec. I felt relieved to be at school early. May time pa para kumain. But then, "May sakit si Ma'am." "Walang Zoo, walang quiz!" Yehey! Walang Zoo! Haay! Nagreview pa man din ako, tapos nagmadali pa ako! Dahil walang Zoo, at 10am pa Hum class ko, tumambay at naglakad muna kami nina Dette at Kris.
I felt sleepy in our Hum II class - film viewing kasi. After that, may discussion pa. Haay! Buti na lang at mejo matagal ung film kaya saglit lang ung discussion. We then ate at McDo after the class. I bought a small doll there. Its cute. They [McDo crew] say that what I bought from them is an ox. Actually, when you look at it, its a cow. Maybe its a baby ox, some of my friends said. Nagvideoke ulit kami kasi matagal pa ung time ng next class namin. Kumanta ulit kami, but this time, with Rox. After nun PI na naman, reporting ulit. Tapos yun. Dumating ang gabi at heto ako ngayon, writing about all these stuff.

HaaY! pasensya na sa 1st entry ko. Walang magawa e. Hehe. :D Next time, maiksi na to!
